This page describes the terms that govern the NexLife SMS messaging program (the "Program") and constitutes a binding agreement between you and NexLife ("NexLife," "we," "us," or "our") with respect to text messages sent through that Program. By providing your mobile telephone number to NexLife, to a licensed insurance agent who uses the NexLife platform (an "Agent"), or to a service provider acting on our behalf, and by opting in through a NexLife-hosted intake form, online form, verbal authorization captured on a recorded line, or written agreement, you agree to these SMS terms.
1. Program Description
- Program name: NexLife Agent & Client Communications.
- Program purpose: to deliver secure intake links and one-time access codes, follow up on insurance quotes and applications, schedule and confirm appointments, deliver underwriting status updates, and communicate other transactional and informational messages related to your inquiry, application, or in-force policy.
- Operator: NexLife, in cooperation with our licensed Agents and our SMS gateway service providers (which currently include GoHighLevel and Twilio).
2. How You Opt In
You opt in to the Program by taking one of the following actions:
- Submitting your mobile number on a NexLife-hosted intake or contact form that displays SMS terms at the point of submission;
- Providing your mobile number to a licensed Agent and authorizing them to send you the secure intake link;
- Replying YES, START, or UNSTOP to a NexLife or Agent SMS where required to confirm opt-in or to re-enroll after a prior opt-out; or
- Providing verbal authorization captured on a recorded line.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your activity. You can expect roughly one to four (1-4) messages per active stage of your application (for example, intake link, follow-up reminder, status update). Message frequency may temporarily increase during the active underwriting period and will decrease after a policy is issued, declined, or withdrawn.
4. Charges
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge you for sending or receiving SMS or MMS messages depending on your plan. Check your wireless plan for details. NexLife does not charge a separate fee for the Program.
5. Supported Carriers
The Program is supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Program may not be available on all prepaid plans, on certain MVNOs, or on landlines or VoIP numbers that cannot receive SMS.
6. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of the Program at any time and at no cost to you by replying any of the following words to any SMS message you receive from us or from an Agent on our platform:
- STOP
- END
- QUIT
- CANCEL
- UNSUBSCRIBE
After you send one of these keywords, you will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed. After that confirmation, you will not receive further Program messages unless you re-enroll. You may also opt out by emailing support@nexlifecrm.org with the subject line "Unsubscribe SMS" and the phone number you wish to remove. Transactional messages strictly necessary to wind down or service a pending application or in-force policy may continue for a brief period after opt-out.
7. Help
For help at any time, reply HELP to any SMS message. You will receive a brief reply with our contact information and instructions on how to obtain assistance. You may also email support@nexlifecrm.org or visit our website for support.
8. Re-Enrollment
After opting out, you can re-enroll at any time by submitting your number through a NexLife-hosted form, asking an Agent to re-send you an intake link, or replying START or UNSTOP where prompted by an SMS gateway.
9. Privacy
Mobile information collected through the Program, including your mobile number, message contents, delivery status, and opt-in/opt-out events, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and are not sold. We share mobile information only with the Agent who initiated contact with you, the SMS gateway service providers necessary to deliver the messages, and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Eligibility
The Program is available only to consumers located in the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years old. You represent that the mobile number you have provided is your own, or that you are authorized to enroll that number in the Program.
11. Errors, Delays, and Non-Delivery
Delivery of SMS messages is dependent on the availability and performance of your wireless carrier and of intermediate networks. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages, for messages delivered to an out-of-date or reassigned number, or for any consequences of an erroneous message delivery. You agree to keep your contact information up to date and to notify us promptly if you change or relinquish your mobile number.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these SMS terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes to the scope of the Program will be communicated before they take effect; you will have the opportunity to opt out prior to the effective date.
